Hi, I'm Dr Sam Cockle

I help people who feel stuck - worn down by dieting, overwhelmed by health advice that doesn't quite fit, or unsure how to make changes that actually last.


What I offer is genuinely different: compassionate, evidence-based support that helps you make changes you can actually live with. Changes that feel good, make sense, and support the life you want to lead.


My approach is built around you: your goals, your routines, your way of doing things. It's shaped by your values and focused on helping you build yourself up - not chase perfection or follow someone else's rules.

A Realistic, Compassionate Approach

Change doesn't have to be a punishment or a chore. It doesn't have to mean depriving yourself or pushing through extremes. It's about finding what works for you - in your real life, with all its ups and downs.


I'll help you explore what's been getting in the way, and support you to make changes that feel doable, meaningful, and kind. That might mean rethinking how you approach food, movement, rest, or routines - but always in a way that builds you up, not tears you down.


No fads. No shame. Just practical, psychology-informed support to help you live well, your way.

 Your health isn't just one thing - it's a web of connections between your body, mind, routines, relationships, and environment. What you eat, how you sleep, how you move, how you feel - it all interacts.

 I offer a personalised service that adapts to your needs, preferences, and goals. You'll be met with warmth, respect, and curiosity - never judgement.


Sessions are collaborative and flexible, with options including in-person "walk and talk" appointments for those nearby. I use evidence-based methods and regularly review progress to make sure you're getting the support that's right for you.


Whether you're feeling stuck, trying to make sense of conflicting advice, or looking for a more compassionate way to care for yourself, we'll work together to find your way forward.
